In Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s continuing efforts to provide our guests with the finest resort experience, Cougar Point will undergo a renovation in 2017. The course will be closed from November 28th, 2016 with an opening date scheduled for October 2017 The renovation will address the following:

Re-grassing the greens, tees, and fairways with Paspalum(the same grass that we have on all other resort golf courses)

Laser level all tee boxes including the practice range

Rebuild all bunkers

Update the irrigation throughout the golf course

We look forward to seeing you in the fall of 2017 when you come enjoy the new and improved Cougar Point.

Originally named Marsh Point, Cougar Point was redesigned by Gary Player in 1996 and plays 6,875 yards. It has become a great strategic layout where players need to think their way around short and long par-4s, great risk/reward par-5s and extremely scenic and challenging par-3s. One of the most dramatic vistas on the island is the middle of Cougar Point's front nine, along the Kiawah River, making this course a very memorable one.

Stop in the Pro Shop for the latest styles with logoed Kiawah Island Golf Resort merchandise and clothing. The Pro Shop carries a selection of golf bags, balls, shoes, hats and sweaters. The Pro Shop is open seven days a week from 7:00am – 6:30pm. Hours will vary by season.
