Last year's Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 andGalaxy Tab S2 9.7 might soon get successors - most probably called Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S3 9.7.

Not long ago, we heard that the upcoming Tab S3 slates should be powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, while sporting 1536 x 2048 pixels displays (obviously measuring 8 inches and 9.7 inches, respectively). The tablets are also expected to feature 3 GB of RAM, 8 MP rear cameras, 2 MP front-facing cameras, and at least 32 GB of internal memory. Save for the newer processor, these specs are pretty much identical to those of the Galaxy S2 series.

Of course, the Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 will run Android Marshmallow out of the box, but what about their design? Well, according to a sketch published by the FCC, which recently approved the Tab S3 9.7 (model number SM-T819), the new slates may look a lot like the S2 tablets. Or at least that's what we can assume seeing the Tab S3 9.7 blueprint included below.

The FCC reveals that the Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 features AT&T-compatible LTE (bands 2, 4, and 17), so maybe the second largest US carrier will launch the tablet at some point. We'll let you know more about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy slates when new info arrives.
