1、完全退出魔兽世界 2、根据你所需的游戏版本，点击 3、将下载得到的 .zip 文件解压缩 查看解压缩之后的文件，是否是多层文件夹：下一级文件中包含.lua文件即是正确。
某些情况下需要检查文件夹名称是否正确：假设解压所得文件夹名称为exp，则文件夹内需包含exp.toc的文件，该exp插件才能正常使用 4、将文件夹放入...\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\文件夹中 某些情况下，该文件夹可能不存在：可启动游戏，选择角色进行游戏，退出游戏之后，wow将自动创建该文件夹。 5、启动游戏，进入角色选择画面，点击左下角的插件按钮，勾选你需要加载的插件。 当你使用大脚启动游戏时，自行安装的插件可能会被屏蔽：在大脚界面中，选择设置-杂项-总是保留不明插件。
某些插件可能版本号会低于当前游戏版本，导致无法加载：勾选插件选择界面中的‘加载过期插件’。
某些插件无法单独使用，需要其他插件的协助：此类插件需下载其所需的插件才能正常使用。 6、进入游戏 大部分插件可按此方法进入控制台：主选单-界面，点击左上角插件标签，选择你加载的插件进行设置。(此方法并不适用所有机器及插件，。) 插件安装注意： 插件类型：本插件站不仅提供常见的插件，也会提供一些包括字体文件、界面元素修改、插件包等的下载。这些插件的安装使用请详见该插件的说明部分，一般与常规插件的安装说明方法并不相同。
文件格式：正常的魔兽插件仅包含.lua、.toc、.xml等格式文件，绝对不会包含.exe格式的文件。因此当下载到包含.exe格式的插件时，需注意是否为木马程序。
版本号：当游戏版本更新时，插件的当前版本号也会升级，因此适用于之前版本的插件均会过期。当不涉及到插件机制的改变时，选择‘加载过期插件’可以暂时使用过期版本的插件。但使用过期插件可能导致游戏中连续报错。此外，当插件版本落后过多，游戏将拒绝加载该插件。
