摘要图像分割是计算机视觉领域的重要组成部分，多相图像分割的技术就是根据图像自身的特征诸如强度、纹理、色彩以及光流场等信息将图像划分为一类子区域。由于图像本身的复杂性以及多目标识别的需要，两相图像分割已经不能解决此类分割问题，因此，多相图像分割应该得到更深入地研究以及发展。目前基于水平集方法的多相图像分割模型框架由于其能量泛函的局部极值问题和较低的计算效率制约着这类方法的应用。本文针对此类问题对改进模型及其快速算法进行了深入的研究，主要包括如下几个方面：第一，系统地介绍了曲线演化理论、水平集方法、变分than—Vese模型的基本理论以及在图像处理中的应用。第二，详细说明两相图像分割的全局凸优化模型及其快速SplitBregman迭代算法的原理。其中，全局凸优化方法是通过引入特征函数取代传统模型中的水平集函数，并将其松弛到连续封闭区间实现的。SplitBregman算法通过引入辅助变量将变分问题转化为简单的Poisson方程和精确的软阈值公式实现的。第三，针对平面图像、三维断层序列图像以及隐式曲面上图像分别建立多相图像分割模型，利用凸优化方法将所建模型的变分问题松弛为一系列凸子优化的过程，并通过SplitBregman算法求解。
